
Project MOVE
Project MOVE is a summer enrichment program where students develop a personal mission statement,
discover great works of art, explore college and career paths, and produce community service
documentaries.
Students participating in Project MOVE earn up to $600 in scholarship money and $255 in gift cards, and
receive job placements through the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program during Summer Session 2.
Summer Session 1 – After 7th Grade
Personal Mission & Great Works
- Who do I want to be and how do I get there?
- What points of view are presented in classic literature, art, and music?
- How do those views shape my own views?
Summer Session 2 – After 8th Grade
Career, Community & The Media
- How can I prepare for a career that is well suited to my talents, passions, beliefs and the needs of the world?
- How can I use media to serve my community in positive ways?
- How does this experience shape my mission?
Participants who successfully complete each summer will receive:
Summer Session 1 – After 7th Grade
- $200 deposited in college fund
- $25 gift cards to the Gap, the Coop, and Dunkin Donuts
Summer Session 2 – After 8th Grade
- $400 deposited in college fund
- $60 gift cards to the Gap, the Coop, and Dunkin Donuts
