SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 1: 11Again the LORD spoke his word to me and asked, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I answered, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” 12Then the LORD said to me, “Right. I am watching to make sure that my words come true.” 13Again the LORD spoke his word to me and asked, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a boiling pot, and its top is tilted away from the north.” 14Then the LORD said to me, “Disaster will be poured out from the north on all those who live in the land. (God’s Word Translation) How does a person join where God is already at work? 1. Observation. Deals with facts 2. Revelation. Deals with Truth (John 8:31- 32) 3. Invitation. Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say. Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them. 18 For see, today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. You will stand against the whole land— the kings, officials, priests, and people of Judah. 19 They will fight you, but they will fail. For I am with you, and I will take care of you. I, the LORD, have spoken!” (NLT) Activation: Jeremiah 2: 1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 “Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem: ‘This is what the LORD says…’ ” (TNIV) Case Study: Moses (Exodus Chapter 3 and 4) Observation? 911 Consecration

Posted by on Sep 20, 2011 in News | 0 comments

911 Consecration A state of emergency is a governmental (Kingdom) declaration that may suspend some normal functions … and …powers, alert citizens to change their normal behaviors, or order government agencies (Pentecostal Tabernacle) to implement emergency preparedness plans. A state of emergency can be used as a rationale for suspending rights and freedoms, even if guaranteed under the constitution. Such declarations usually come during a time of natural or man-made disaster, during periods of civil unrest, or following a declaration of war or a situation of international or internal armed conflict (spiritual warfare). With this in mind, starting on Sunday, September 11th to Sunday, October 2nd: Pentecostal Tabernacle will have a time of corporate fasting and consecration. Communion will be served on both Sundays. During this time will be having prayer sessions (Prayer Mountain) at Pentecostal Tabernacle from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM every Friday evening throughout the duration of our consecration (9/16, 9/23 and...

Blessings over Students and Teachers

Posted by on Sep 20, 2011 in Bishop's blog | 1 comment

We believe that ministers have been given the authority to bless God’s people so that they may be successful in the accomplishing of His will and purposes (Numbers 6:23-27). And because of this the following blessings (to bless means to ask the favor of God over a person or a thing) were pronounced over our students and educators during our Back to School Sunday Service held on September 18, 2011. As you face challenges during this school year, know that you are blessed (favored) of God.  And no matter what you’re going through, you can speak these words over your life.  For example, you can say out loud, “God has blessed me to go out, befriend the lonely and hurting, give hope to the hopeless…” And whether you’re a student or an educator, this will be one of the best school years of your life. Back to School Blessing over Students As you start this new year of school, we send you out with our blessings. We want you to know that along with God, Pentecostal Tabernacle is walking with you in prayer. You are not alone. When you walk down the halls, remember that you are on mission together with God. In the midst of friendships, classes, games, performances, and events, may God remind you that He created you for His glory and to be His light in the earth. We bless you to go out, befriend the lonely and hurting, give hope to the hopeless, and rise above the popularity contests that have trapped so many. We bless you with the ability to give your best effort in the classroom, always seek the truth, ask your teachers, your fellow students, and yourself hard questions, and never settle for easy answers. We bless you to take every thought that will destroy your life’s purpose, capture it, and make it obedient to the way of Christ who wants the very, very best for your life. We bless you to go and have fun, to live lightly and enjoy this school year such as you have never done before. We bless you to not spend too much time looking forward to the next quarter, next semester, next trimester, next year or even next week. We bless you to live in the now and not to worry about tomorrow. We bless you to be free to be your true self, the self you were created to be because of Christ. We bless you to remember that there is always a way out when you’re tempted. We bless you to not crumble to peer pressure but instead to find that nothing will satisfy you-absolutely nothing-unless it is a gift from God. We bless you to have the wisdom to discern which relationships are from God and which are not from God but from Satan who desires to ruin your life. We bless you to have the courage to live out that wisdom which is a gift that comes from God. We send you out with God’s blessing so that, as you move about your schools and campuses, you will carry deep in your heart the undying fire for God’s kingdom purpose for your lives in this school year. Amen. Back to School Blessing over Teachers Father God, we bless each teacher with Your enablement to teach with...

The Jab Step

Luke 8:9, 11-15 9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 11 “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is God’s Word. 12 The seeds that fell on the footpath represent those who hear the message, only to have the devil come and take it away from their hearts and prevent them from believing and being saved. 13 The seeds on the rocky soil represent those who hear the message and receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they believe for a while, then they fall away when they face temptation. Luke 8:9, 11-15 14 The seeds that fell among the thorns represent those who hear the message, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares and riches and pleasures of this life. And so they never grow into maturity. 15 And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest. (NLT) Precepts. Prayer. Promptings. Pastor. Partners. Present Situations & Circumstances Patience (“…bring forth fruit with patience.” KJV) Romans 5:1-4 1…Lord Jesus Christ:  2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation (Greek = Pressure) worketh patience;  4And patience, experience…(KJV). Hebrews 6:12 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. James 1:3-4 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. Patience: Greek = Cheerful Endurance. Hupo = Under ; Meno → to stay, remain, bear (trials), have fortitude (mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation). An ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay (deferment, interruption, detention, downtime, hungup, hindered, held-up, on hold, holding pattern, impeded, jammed, lagging behind, traffic jam, obstructed, postponed, put off, set back, a showstopper, stalled, stoppage, suspension, tied-up, waiting). Biblical examples: Abraham (Hebrews 6:13) waited 25 years. Joseph waited 13 years. Moses waited 80 years. David waited 13 years. (1 Samuel 22:2 = in debt, distress, discontent) Jesus waited 30 years. (Luke 2:40 = Grew in wisdom = Prov. 4:7) We will bring forth fruit (results) if we show an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay. If we stay under (Greek). Under what? The Hand of God (1 Chronicles 4:10; 1 Peter...
